A front zip half vest from a boutique store years ago, which only would have ever suited a 'pirate-style' / romantics white shirt. It's a half vest in that it only comes up to under the bust. I never bought said white shirt, so the vest is still sitting in my closet with its tag!

  2. my biggest spontaneous purchase was a $9000 car for my wife over the internet in a different state(NSW and we are in Vic) having only seen pictures of it. Luckily it all worked out and its a great little car!!!!

  3. A "Gym Stick"... an exercise contraption that looks like a big stick with rubber bands attached to it. I thought this was the answer to all my exercise prayers and a way out of the gym... needless to say it is coated in a thick layer of dust... alongside the ab machine, the cross trainer, the Wii Fit... !

  8. How gorgeous!
    What great colours and designs.
My best spontaneous purchase was a pair of Alice Booties made by bespoke cobblers "Pendragon Shoes" on the Queensland Sunshine Coast. I saw them and fell in love with them. They cost me several days pay, but I feel special every time I wear them.

  12. It was buying a "Body Trim" weightloss kit while in hospital under the influence of anaesthetic!! I had absolutely no recollection of doing it until the kit arrived in the mail, and I checked back through mobile phone calls and discovered what I'd done - lost 15kg, so not such a dreadful mistake after all :) :)

  20. my best spontaneous purchase was from skadijewellery - a gift for my girl in London. Lovely seller said she would send it to London for me, but then I wouldn't have been able to have a nosey parker first would I?

  21. As mother of the bride I bought 3 dresses spontaneously, each time thinking each was better than the other.. Ended up costing me more than my daughters dress- as by the time the wedding came I could take them back as too much time had passed! In the end I wore a black glitzy dress and the mother of the groom had a very similar dress!

  23. I never wear high heels, but when looking for shoes for a friend's wedding ended up buying a pair. I didn't even get out the door to the church before I took them off. I haven't worn them since...they are still gathering dust in my closet.
