My favorite outdoor activity is playing catch with my childers! Then collapsing in the grass and watching the clouds go by... :)

  6. Loving your range!!! I have to agree with Kellie, playing outside with my chill-blains is definitely #1 in my outdoor activity list. The trampoline and slide are the favourite at our house but am dreading the day that my tear away two year old discovers that she can jump from trampoline to slide if she tries hard enough! Oh lordy! lol

  9. Reading an amazing book under a beautiful tree at my local park.
I'm usually accompanied by some delicious chocolate biscuits and some apple juice to tide me over until lunch time hits.

  11. My favourite thing to do in the great outdoors - is to do nothing! Simply lie on the grass and take in all the wonderful fragrances, sounds, and sights that nature has to offer. Surprisingly, this can be the most productive activity you undertake.

  16. I still love doing the same thing as I did as a child, exploring a creek, out bush somewhere away from everything and everyone. I would skip stones on the surface, jump from rock to rock ,find hidden waterholes, for swimming and turn stones over looking for fishing bait.....

  17. What beautiful jewellery! My favourite outdoor activity is taking a walk on our farm with my two little ones. Oscar loves learning about the environment that surrounds us.

  19. The best thing to do outdoors is play in the sand pit with my grandchildren. In our compact back yard we have a sandpit, a swing, a cubby and a small trampoline. My granddaughter heads for the sand and my grandson heads for the cubby. Because it's such a neat setup Nanny has no problems playing with both of them

  31. Beautiful range.
My fave outdoor activity is a trip to the Victoria coast in the middle of winter. You are all rugged up in layers of warm clothing and the icy salty wind whips at your face as you walk across the dunes and out onto the beach. Your mind is cleared and you are at one with nature. Sigh. I think its time for a roadtrip. ;)

  39. One of my interests is photography so when I'm outdoors I like to take my camera and capture a close up view of the flowers and birds. I find birds really interesting in the way they interact with each other and how they find food and shelter. Actually just being out in the fresh air taking in the sunshine is a treat we can all share.

  40. Taking photos outside. Just discovered this great blog.

  41. No question about it - the best outdoor activity in Christchurch is feeding the ducks!

  42. Taking my Girl Guide unit camping. I am a young leader, with a group of girls aged 5-17, and taking them camping is one of the most rewarding experiences their is. Teaching the girls to set up tents, create camp gadgets like racks to sit their bedrolls on, and watching them learn how to cook their own meals over open fires really makes all the time required worth it, especially when you see how much they can grow over one weekend.

Well done offthepeg and thanks for sharing your story about favourite outdoor activity.

We agree there is nothing better than a road trip where you take in sights and smells of the Australian coastline - beaches take on a new life in the winter.
