How did you find about madeit?
I found out about the wonderful world of Made It through my friend Linda; she and her husband own a gallery where I'll be exhibiting in November (Edelweiss Gallery, beautiful local only artwork and jewellery)

Explain your style:
When it comes to jewellery I like to make a unique statement definitely involving the romantic with a touch of the contemporary. I've named most pieces after the heroines of Shakespeare; his characters encompass any and every aspect of a woman's psyche.

What makes you happy?
My Home....a little cottage in regional NSW, with my bearded hero (he beats Mr Darcy hands down any day!), our two dogs, a cat, and very soon some chooks

What makes you sad?
Cruelty caused by ignorance

What can't you live without?
Above mentioned man!

Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Kirsten and I live in Sydney. I make accessories and cards out of Japanese and other lovely fabrics and papers, under the label Lilypad Designs. I love sourcing materials with different textures, designs and patterns and experimenting with how they work together to create something new and interesting.

How did you find about craftumi?
I have a shop on Madeit called Lilypaddesigns, and read about Craftumi in the Madeit newsletter.

What do you sell on craftumi?
I currently sell cute rubber stamps sourced mainly from Japan. I’ll be adding fabrics, craft books, and papers to the shop soon.

What is your favourite craft activity?
At the moment, I’m really enjoying making rubber stamps. I also love coming up with new designs for my cards.

What would be your perfect day?
A perfect day would involve a visit to a market, catching up with friends and family over a nice meal, watching a fun movie, and having some craft time as well.

How did you find about madeit?
I've been aware of madeit for a while, through various craft and design blogs. But it wasn't until recently that I took the plunge and started a madeit shop myself!

Explain your style
I've created a collection of art prints and paper goods featuring birds, bears, bunnies and a host of cute characters, which I think are perfect for children and grownups alike. I like to create designs which are sweet and simple, with some humour thrown in for good measure.

What makes you happy?
A productive day spent creating something of value.
Family, friends, animation, music, art, and vitamin D!

What makes you sad?
That there aren't 90 hours in a day. (ooh, and 90 hours in a night in which to sleep and dream! heaven!)

What can't you live without?
air! oh, and my partner, chocolate and Mad Men, preferably in unison.

Summer lends itself to being the statement season of contrasts; the temperature is hot, the waters feel more refreshing than ever before, the trees dry out suddenly yet the rains come thick and fast.

With the thought of contrasts in mind, Sophie's Summer range for That Vintage has correlated a mix of feathers, fur, iron and lace all pictured on the beautiful Tasmanian Myrtle wood.

Sweet and feminine yet strong; delicate little feathered birds perched on edges of wrought iron licks and a feature of lace and woodgrain are engraved.

In the That Vintage Summer 2011 range, the contrast carries through to a more tangible dimension with the release of the "Pop-Up" designs - creating shadow and interest with an eye popping deer, rabbit and dove.
